EDITED- AGAIN
A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.

Shakespeare got that right, because I got thyself a new name, and I still smell like Roses and Satin (Clairol Herbal Essences)!

After a week or so of conjuring names and looking up their meanings, I have finally settled on a christian name. Friends of tomorrow shall call me Charlana, pronounced shar-LAN-ah.

I was deliberating between Lana and Jaiden. Finally decided on the former because I prefer the attributes it embodies, and added a prefix.

The girl's name Lana \l(a)-na\ is pronounced LAN-ah, LAHN-ah. Variant of Alana (Old German) "precious" or (Irish, Gaelic) "little rock", or Helen (Greek) "light", or (Hawaiian) "afloat; calm as still waters". The name also resembles the romantic term for wool: "laine" or "lana". Made famous by actress Lana Turner.

The girl's name Aiden \a(i)-den\, also used as boy's name Aiden, is a variant of Aidan (Gaelic), and the meaning of Aiden is "fire".

You who's reading this right now can just call me Gek; it has grown on me. Charlana is for the ease of future business partners (farsighted, aren't I?) and part of my image renewal scheme.

As you probably can tell, I am big on self-improvement, especially character-moulding, and I plan to be such a cool cat by 2010, no one will remember I was ever nicknamed ******. Meow ;)!

I just viewed my post; sorry for the chunk of funky fill-in-the-blank passage. Too troublesome to un-hyperlink everything.

This is the last time I edit this, I promise. *sheepish grin*
