Today has been the stalest day at Ф yet. Still, it was more fun than all of my previous stints because the incentive part of it makes it more of a challenge rather than just sitting at the computer/folding clothes all day. I'll never see a dollar the same way again- so much effort goes into earning peanuts here at Ф! It's also interesting observing the consumer behavior; there really is a difference in the way girls act in the company of guys as compared to when they are not.

The majority of girls like to browse and are pretty indecisive, but you don't have to work in the service line to know that- you just have to go shopping with me.

Every so often, a girl's opinionatedness is called into question by her spouse, to which she is quick to defend by acting stubborn.

Girls love proving that they are different, that they are the modern woman who is independent and strong-minded. So while the rest of the female population is buying the dress their boyfriend complimented them on, we feel the need to get the ostentatiously sequined one in hot pink because we are so Barbie fierce.

I guess I'm just one of those typical girls (thankfully I still manage to stay undeluded despite being one of them) because I completely get this vainglorious-woman syndrome; I'd feel uncomfortable if someone tagged me as unopinionated even though I'm apathetic on issues such as religion. But Pear, I really wasn't fronting all those times I said "all the colours look good except for the purple one."

In contrast, we have the indifferent male. An evolved, more extreme species of the regular guy who makes haste with shopping, he doesn't want to do an iota of it. He really doesn't care what he gets as long as he gets something. Probably because his girlfriend wants him to. And no, he doesn't care that you think him a wuss either.


Three guys who left an impression today:

The only hot guy I have seen in Ф history. He approached me about something but I was in the midst of serving other customers so Yi Ling took over. (Hot) Damn!

Guy with seriously sexy voice. Man, he should be working for those chat hotlines. Or post videos of him talking about whatever - preferably the news because that should definitely be made more enjoyable - on youtube. I would favourite him.

Buff model type with glossy nails and an apparent penchant for off-colour jokes. Ack.




Doesn't the new blogskin look smashing? It was even cooler before, but I didn't fancy the tabs - which actually looked really good if you like that sort of thing - so I edited it. Content makes a blog so I don't want people to have to look for it.

While I'm on this, I don't know why some people like to constantly pepper their entries so generously with photos, their blog becomes like some kind of photo log. Don't they have FB for that?

Anyway, I didn't have luck with shifting the time and tagboard to the right, so I guess I'll do without a taggie for now.

It's not crammed with applications, but that suits me fine; I just need a phone that helps to keep me organised (or as organised as I can be anyway), wakes me up in the morning, snaps decent photos and preferably a (eye)candybar.

You'd think this phone is pretty basic and it'd be selling everywhere but no, only M1 had it and I had to go sell my N79 to those ah beng retailers and buy it at retail price. I'm so glad I persevered instead of getting anything else!
